I hate to be a Buzz kill, but did you check with your surgeon about doing this so close to the surgery.  The risk of infection is always there no matter how careful the artist is when applying the ink. Please double check, they may want you to take an antibiotic for a couple days before surgery. 

Sounds like a pretty tattoo. You will have to send a picture.

I wouldnt do a tatoo before your surgery. You might risk infection. I was told If I was to get a tatoo before my surgery they would postpone my surgery! But I wont ever do a tatoo!

My surgeon didn't even ask about recent tattoos.  And, I did have a tattoo right before my surgery but after I lost so much weight and when I finally have PS, I will lose the tattoos that I got before wls.   You might want to wait until after weightless or at least get the tattoo either on your ankle or wrist.   

We where asked about recent surgeries and procedures and that counts tattoos.  I'd ask!
